Brushstroke and printing press. Techniques of letterpress printing

We travel 1,000 years back in time, where exciting adventures are waiting for the schoolchildren. What was monastic life like in medieval times and how were books and paper produced back then?

Workshop
In the “media.worlds” exhibition, we explore how people first had to invent writing and find out why it often took several years to produce a single book. Various objects, such as papyrus, parchment and paints, can be touched and examined. In the end, you will have the opportunity to make paper yourself and try your hand as an illuminator.

Please book in due time – the workshops at 9 am are quickly booked out.
Two accompanying persons can attend for free.
