Guide
At the beginning, you can try out how much weight a person can move on rails by sheer muscle power. We then delve into the era of steam locomotives and hear exciting stories about the locomotives displayed at the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology). Where and when were they in service? How did railways change the world as an important invention and what significance did locomotives have? For example, some of you may now know that the “1060” electric locomotive is much older than many steam locomotives.

As a special highlight, the largest and fastest steam locomotive ever built in Austria is waiting to be explored. In the end, you will have the opportunity to operate a modern Taurus electric locomotive in our simulator.
