Yay, it’s holiday time at the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology)! The focus is on hands-on fun, experimenting and exploring. This tour for all ages offers space for questions and answers as well as shared activities for all participants.

Material Worlds

Toys, books and armchairs are all things that first have to be produced. Before that, important decisions have to be made, such as: Which material should I choose? How can materials be combined? And last but not least: What should my piece actually be able to do? On this guided tour, we look at what knowledge is helpful in this process and how certain decisions can ensure that our things can be used for as long as possible. Then it’s time to get practical: We will make our own little product, which you can take home with you afterwards.

During this lively hour, there’s something for everyone to marvel at, to smile about and to try out together. An experience for the whole group that will make you want to come back! Maybe as soon as the next holidays?

Please note the age requirements! Children under 8 years old may only participate with an accompanying adult.
