Biomimetic research lab

Humans can learn a lot from nature and imitate its solutions: For example, self-cleaning leaves provide inspiration for developing clothing that does not become dirty or wet. This search for traces through the exhibition has quite a few surprises in store, allowing the children to experience nature’s resourcefulness up close.

Workshop
This workshop introduces technical developments and explains how much they are based on the perfection of nature. The children learn that polar bear fur provided ideas for improving water kettles and that fans have been running more quietly since they have been modelled on bird feathers. The biomimetic research lab is a place where children can actively experiment and tinker with all their senses!
