Focus on sustainability – Guided educator tour
For everyone
Guided Educator Tour
This guided educator tour presents the museum’s educational programme with a focus on “sustainability” for various age groups and shows the museum’s approach to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The hands-on tour “Plastic fantastic?” follows the trail of plastic from the oil rig to the bathroom. Together with the participants we address environmental protection in everyday life, before the group gets actively involved by experimenting with the problematic material of “microplastics”. The “Climate change – technological change” tour explores the causes of climate change and whether and how humans influence the climate. It explains “man-made climate change” and encourages discussions on what individuals can do about it. The museum offers the “SDGs – from knowledge to action” tour in two versions: as a live tour at the museum or as a digital tour via Zoom. This format addresses individual SDGs and puts them into context with museum objects – taking a look into the past and the future.

The museum’s exhibitions offer many points of reference to the idea of sustainability – in the “Energy”, “Mobility” or “Everyday life” permanent exhibitions, in the “FOOD.PRINTS” special exhibition and in the in-house “techLAB”. The museum also always offers an accompanying educational event for every exhibition! As part of the guided educator tour, the team of cultural mediators presents the programmes offered by the museum and is also happy to answer organisational questions to prepare for the museum visit.
