How does science work? What do scientists do on a daily basis? And what characterises “good” science? The exhibition “Changing Science” gets to the bottom of these questions. It explores various scientific disciplines and well-known phenomena, highlighting surprising mechanisms that lead from an exciting discovery and initial attempts at explanation to established knowledge.

On our journey through the world of science, we encounter important researchers and famous scientific problems. From astronomy and physics to brain research: the world is full of exciting discoveries – sometimes completely by chance, sometimes the result of focused curiosity. But the path from the initial idea to established knowledge is always the result of great perseverance and boundless ingenuity. In this exhibition, we learn not only about some of the greatest questions of humankind, but also about the methods researchers use to try to answer them.
