Special Day

On the occasion of the major special exhibition Under the Spell of the Railway, the Winter Express – the garden railway at the TMW – will appear in an expanded form: featuring a 200-meter track, several small level crossings, and a station where tickets can be purchased. This fully functional miniature train takes children and adults alike on a ride through the museum’s historic central hall, bringing radiant smiles and festive cheer from December 20 to 30, 2025.

There is no age restriction. Children under the age of 3 may only participate when accompanied by an adult.

Special opening hours

On December 24th, the Winterexpress is operating until 2:30 PM. On December 25th, the museum is closed.
