Nature and knowledge

Concepts and consequences

How do we gain knowledge from nature? Who uses it, and how? The exhibition provided visitors a partly experimental introduction to the subject and showed fundamental concepts and their application.
ENDED
Everything in it revolved around the question of how science is “done”. How are theories produced from assumptions, and how are they verified? It also dealt with the question of what progress is enabled by understanding nature. What concepts without which modern science would be unthinkable are hidden behind terms like “force field” or “energy”? Many insights have had a positive effect on our lives, while others can also have fatal consequences when misused (think of the atomic bomb). A deeper understanding helps us better deal with all these questions.

While exploring the addressed topics, text and media stations as well as hands-on opportunities for experimentation allowed all visitor groups to gain more in-depth information.
