Merged from various holdings, this collection area comprises about 35,000 objects from the collection groups of musical instruments, radio and television, audio and video, typesetting and printing, photography and film, telecommunications, post, office and data processing. These groups include many objects from the consumer goods industry, which has been rapidly growing since the 19th century. As a consequence, we have to deal with an overwhelming abundance of objects when putting together collections today.
