It’s all just stolen? Ideas of biomimicry

Indestructible beetles or cleverly arranged honeycombs – many things in nature are worked out perfectly. On this joint research expedition through the exhibition, the group explores how technical challenges have been solved, inspired by adaptations of plants and animals. The children can experience first-hand the fascinating interplay of technology and biology!

Guide
Biomimicry tries to transfer successful adaptations of plants or animals into technology. Careful observation makes it possible to find applications for technical solutions in nature and “steal” them. This guided tour takes a closer look at technical developments and their natural models. At the end of the tour, the class will have the opportunity to test a biomimetic effect itself!
