Material Worlds – the building blocks of our world

What lies within the objects that surround us every day? Which materials form the foundation of the products we use daily? And what path do these raw materials take – from their extraction from nature, through industrial processing, to the finished object?

Guided Tour
Whether rubber, steel, precious metals, or even air – the range of materials we use is vast. Without them, our modern lifestyle would hardly be imaginable. Some raw materials are easy to spot, while others are cleverly integrated and barely noticeable. This exhibition invites you to take a closer look: What materials are hidden in cars, clothing, or electronics? Which resources do we use without even realizing it? And above all: how can we extract these valuable raw materials in an environmentally responsible way and keep them in circulation for as long as possible?

Two accompanying adults can participate for free.
