Guided Tour
We embark on a fascinating journey through the world of railways and take a look behind the scenes: What technical, logistical and professional skills are required to keep more than 7,000 trains running on Austria’s rail network every day? In addition to the technical basics, we highlight how the railway has shaped the mobility of people and goods and what place it has taken in our society and in our language.

Impressive railway models in various scales – up to 1:5 – tell the story of more than 200 years of rail travel. They vividly demonstrate how the railway transport system has developed and prove that models are not only historically significant, but also continue to fascinate people to this day.
