Galileo Thermometer Medium

Measuring temperature like in the 16th century!
Teenagers & Adults
As early as the 16th century Galileo Galilei had developed the hand held thermometer. Galileo is called the father of modern science and his thermometer was instrumental in many important discoveries in a range of scientific fields. The Galileo Thermometer is a glass tube with liquid-filled glass bulbs that “hover” in the tube. The bulbs shimmer in different colours and move up or down as the room temperature changes. The bottom bulb in the upper part of the tube shows the current temperature. Interesting and decorative!
