3D printing for beginners

Printing your own 3D object is easier than you think! A 3D printer allows individual designs to be produced quickly and cost-effectively.
Kindergarten & School
6–13 Grade
Online Programme
In our workshop, we explain how 3D printers build up objects layer by layer. Then it’s time for the DIY part of the workshop: The pupils design their own 3D models using the Tinkercad software under supervision.
Finally, we discuss in what professions and industry sectors this technology is used and what the future of 3D printing might look like.
The designs created in the workshop will be printed out and sent to the school by post.
  • This interactive online workshop (via Zoom) is organised and supervised live by two explainers.
  • Each pupil needs a laptop/PC with Internet access (tablets are NOT suitable). We will be working virtually on the Tinkercad Internet platform, which requires no installation.
  • Information, preparation material and the link for the Zoom meeting will be sent to the teachers by email about 10 days before the booked date.
Two accompanying adults can participate for free.
