The museum as a digital learning place

School routine will continue to pose a challenge in the new school year – for both educators and pupils. Our online educational programme offers variety and help: We prepare various aspects of the museum virtually for pupils of different age groups, ensuring a both entertaining and memorable digital experience!

The digital educational programme for schools focuses on the TMW’s established strengths: hands-on quality and interactive formats, building a bridge between history and current developments.

We bring digital guided tours to your classroom and accompany you and your classes live during a virtual visit to the museum. Our online workshops are designed to be interactive, allowing your pupils to become active and try out different things from a distance. If you would like to bring the TMW to your classroom or city, you can use our experiments for distance learning or participate in our “TMW Climate Walk”, the app-based city tour along the Danube Canal. As always at our events for educators, we offer you practical and helpful tips on how to best prepare your class for a visit to the TMW.

Details:

• This online educator tour is organised and supervised live by cultural mediators of the museum.
• As the ideal setting, we recommend a laptop/PC and headset per participant at home.
• We use “Zoom” as the communication platform. The link for the meeting will be sent to the participants by email about one hour before the event.
