Eurovision Song Contest at the TMW

To mark the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, the TMW invites visitors to a dazzling special programme from 2–17 May 2026. Extended offerings centred around music, workshops in our sound studio and a karaoke stage create an authentic Song Contest atmosphere.

WINNING SONGS IN THE BANQUET HALL

In the banquet hall, winning songs from the past 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest will be played on a loop – a musical journey through seven decades of Eurovision history.

INTERACTIVE MEDIA STATIONS

Media stations provide on-demand access to winning songs as well as multimedia stories from Eurovision history. Put your knowledge to the test in the big winning song quiz!

KARAOKE STAGE

The karaoke stage features 24 historic Eurovision entries ready for you to sing along to – step into the spotlight and enjoy your very own Song Contest moment!

GUIDED TOUR OF HIGHLIGHTS

At the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology), technology becomes a unique experience on an area of more than 22,000 m2. In this guided tour, the museum presents its most valuable treasures and puts you in the mood for your own journey of discovery through the museum.


GUIDED TOUR: SOUND FROM ELECTRICITY

How is electrical energy turned into music? This guided tour explores the fascinating connection between electricity and sound. From early electrical experiments to modern developments, you’ll discover how technical innovations have had a lasting impact on our world of music.

This guided tour brings to life how music and communication technologies have evolved over time. Discover how sounds are transmitted, recorded and amplified – and how technological advances have revolutionised our listening habits.


MUSIC PRODUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

14 and 16 May | 11:00–12:30 | English
Create your own sound! In this hands-on workshop at the techLAB, you’ll be introduced to the basics of music production. Learn how beats are made, how sounds are arranged and how digital tools can be used creatively. Ideal for anyone looking to take their first steps towards making their own music.
As part of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest program, the Vienna Technical Museum may take photographs and/or record video footage. By attending the event, participants acknowledge that photographs and video footage in which they appear may be used for press coverage and published on various (social) media platforms, in publications, and on the Vienna Technical Museum’s website.
