Under the motto "Explore, discover and move", the new interactive exhibition gives little explorers plenty of space for movement and playful experiences. The minTi is designed for families and children aged 1.5 to 5 years who want to explore the museum in an age-appropriate way.

The miniXplore focuses on playful exploration – without giving instructions and without “right” or “wrong”, enabling children and accompanying adults to engage with STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) without fear of failure while having fun and excitement.
techLAB

Age 12+
In the techLAB, our maker*space, you can independently work on small projects at your own pace using technologies such as 3D printers, laser cutters or cutting plotters. Our knowledgeable explainers will help you learn how to handle the equipment and acquire the necessary digital skills. Whether working with wood, fabric, cardboard or microcontrollers, you can create things based on your very own ideas!
No reservation required: The techLAB is open as part of a museum visit.
High-voltage demonstration

This stunning show whisks you away to the world of electrical charges and currents! We generate current with extremely high voltage to conduct astonishing experiments: Light bulbs glow without using a power cable and metre-long bolts of lightning flash freely across our safety cage. In addition, we explain why hair often stands on end when children go down a slide, what the so-called “war of the currents” was all about, and many other interesting facts about electricity.

BIRDLY® – The VR Flight Experience

Opening hours
On December 24, we are open until 3:00 PM. On December 25, the museum will be closed. Starting December 26, we will be open as usual again.
English subtitle
Please note that all the guided tours and workshops on this day are held in German. However we can subtitle all slides of the High-voltage demonstration in English. Please ask our colleagues before the demonstration to use English slides.
