Family tour (Children from 7–12 years)

The world of electricity

Washing machines, lights, cookers – imagine how many things would be useless without electricity. Take a look back at the past with your children and find out how electricity came into our homes in the first place.

You simply plug it in and it works! But where is electricity generated, and how does it get to our homes? How long have we had household electrical appliances? How did people used to live before electricity? What did an “electricity thief” do? The answers to these and many other questions await you on our guided tour. Your children will get to see with their own eyes what everyday life was like in the days when your great-grandparents went to school.
