Newspapers, radio, television, the Internet or mobile phone - information and media are ubiquitous in our contemporary everyday lives. Come with us on a journey through time and experience how it all began!

Many thousands of years ago, when people wanted to communicate with each other, there was only one way to do it: they had to talk to each other. Nowadays we are living in the ‘media age’: There are many different media, such as the Internet, mobile phones and television that can be used to receive information and communicate with others.

Ways how people exchanged and recorded information in former times can be explored through unusual exhibits and exciting stories in the Technisches Museum Wien. Together we discuss how Facebook and Web 2.0 have changed our everyday media life and find out how we all form part of this new "media revolution".
