Do you like technology? Is there a small inventor inside you, waiting to get out? Then you're in the right place in "mini"! Here you can try out and touch everything, and move around a lot.

See, hear, feel, touch – "mini" is a place of adventure - a real inventor's playground!
Do you want to know what goes on behind the controls of a fire engine? Can you lift yourself into the air using your own strength? Or have you ever tried to generate sounds by hopping? Slip into the role of a police officer and control the traffic in "mini". And if you are particularly curious, you can really get to the bottom of things in the "nano snail shell". Every year, a new and exciting subject is waiting to be discovered by you.

"mini" is an experience for all of your senses - we really want you to touch and try things out!
Those who need a short break after all these discoveries can bury themselves with mum, dad, grandma or grandpa in one of the many children's books, or practice on the "try-science" computer.
For small mini-experts, we recommend the exciting experiments at the experiment stations at weekends and on bank holidays. Celebrate your birthday with all your friends with us in the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Technical Museum)! You can also come to the Technisches Museum Wien with all of your kindergarten class - exciting adventures and guided tours await you!

Dear chaperone

If the "big museum" is a bit too complicated for your child, we can offer the right place for adventure and discovery in "mini"! In our area for small children, you can get to the bottom of physical and technical principles together with your child in a relaxing and child-friendly atmosphere. Be amazed, watch and try things out - these things promote independent action and thought. Perhaps the foundations will be laid here for the next Nobel Prize winner!

Opening times:

Monday - Friday: 13:00 – 17:45
Saturday, Sunday, bank holidays: 10:00 – 17:45
