Conformance - the standardization of everyday life

9. Schulstufe – 13. Schulstufe

What was it like to live in Vienna 100 years ago? Come with us on an historical journey to the time of "Red Vienna", the "Frankfurt kitchen" and the "Tröpferlbad" public baths!

We'll take a journey back to the start of the 20th century when Vienna set social living standards. The motto "Light, air and sun for all" brought about a rethink in urban development. Each inhabitant of the city was to have more living space, electricity and washing opportunities available to them. Compare what your everyday life would have been like 100 years ago, and what has changed in our homes since then!
