Mobility then and now

How did people used to travel in the old days when there were no airplanes, cars or railways? How has our everyday life changed as a result of our greater mobility? Join us as we find out how transport has evolved over the years.

Today, mobility is part of our everyday lives. Whether we travel by car, bus or airplane, travelling is usually fast and convenient. On our guided tour you will be taken back to a time when even small excursions entailed a big adventure. Find out why a journey by mail coach was incredibly uncomfortable and yet just as expensive as a flight to America today. Experience horse-drawn railways, penny farthings, the world’s first airplanes – and lots more!
