Family tour (Children from 7 - 12 years)

Power – muscle power or power plant?

Mobile phones, Game Boys, lights – lots of devices in your playroom work with electricity. But how did appliances work in the old days, and how did people do heavy work?

You simply plug it in and it works! Just think how many things in your everyday life would be useless without electricity. But what was it like for people before they had electricity? Who did the work, and how did machines used to work?

Join us on a journey back in time and discover how people 500 years ago harnessed the power of water, winter and sun for their own needs – what’s more, today we’re once again coming back to these ‘ancient forms of energy’.
